Reality Junkie???
I have to admit, I really like reality TV. Well, most of it anyway. There's a lot of junk out there, but a few shows really hold my attention (Amazing Race, Survivor, American Idol, etc.). My latest kick, which I told myself I wouldn't get into, is So You Think You Can Dance - on FOX by the creators of American Idol (maybe that's why I like it). Anyway, the show is addicting. And tonight, we're not going to be home and I forgot to set the VCR (we're not cool enough to have TiVo). Darn!
Since the beginning of the finals, everyone got paired up into couples. Every week the bottom three couples have to preform solos and then the judges decide which guy and which girl has to go. So far, my favorite couple - Benji & Donyelle - have remained strong every week and they are a blast to watch and so talented. However, tonight, there is a new twist. All the couples who have been preforming together for weeks got randoming repaired up and I am SO disappointed! And of all nights that I won't be tuning in...
I'll be bummed about this all day, seriously, I will.

can you somehow get an update online? they post that stuff pre-show sometimes and you can find out the endings of those shows since they're not taped live...maybe that would not be the same thing, though.

oh trust me, i'll go online for sure! however, with this show, it takes them a little while to do their recaps so i won't be able to find out until sometime tomorrow. however, YouTube comes in very handy because people will probably post some of the dances so i will check that out tomorrow as well. :)

Yes! Celeste is blogging! I would check your Xanga blog periodicaly and was sad that it never got updated.
Now I can add one more blog to my RSS feed page and keep up with all the family, pregnancy, married life antics a single guy can't get enough of!

Celeste, I'm your hero!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that show too! (Benji and Donyelle are also my favorites) and we tape it every week. We're so taping tonight, I can bring it on Sunday when we meet up with your small group! We're not going to be at the Rock on Friday, otherwise you'd totally get it then. We'll probably tape the results show tomorrow, too!
I've felt like such a huge nerd for liking the show because no one else seems to have really heard of it. I'm glad I'm not alone!!

no, you're not alone!! i'm so glad i have someone to talk about it with now!! yay!! i just found out from my hubby that we are going to be at home tonight before we head out again so i can set the vcr to record. thanks for the offer. if something happens and i can't tape it, i will definitely want to borrow your copy!!

Anyone watch project runway? Just saw it's now on NBC instead of Bravo, which is awesome since we don't get cable.
Now I don't know which reality show is better; Runway or America's Next Top Model. Ahhh, I love shallow beauty :)

I just saw an ad - Amazing Race will be on Sundays this fall after 60 minutes. That'll be tricky if football messes up the VCR timing (no TiVo for me either).

thanks j, i didn't know it was going to be on sundays. looks like we will be taping it almost every week since our small groups meet on sunday nights! hopefully football won't conflict - like you said!

Celeste, did you get to tape it? It was great last night, but hard to keep everything straight, so much going on!! Benji is DEFINITELY my favorite for sure, I think his first dance was one of his best so far, tell me what you think!

ann, no, i had every intention of taping it, but completely forgot before we left the house. i read the recap and will try to find some clips on youtube. it did sound like a very confusing show! however, i would be up for borrowing your tape to watch it. thanks!

Yahoo Celeste! I love so you think you can dance! I vote Dimitri- aaah those Russian men- maybe it's the former gymnast in me.
I am addicted to this and am Tivo-less. I have my sister Tivo Project Runway and then give me DVD's off her computer. I am glad I have basic cable.

No way!! I love this show too! I am a little obsessed with it...I even have favorite choreographers! (I am a dance junkie)My roomate Leah and I have most of the episodes on tape as well. Yeah, someone else to talk to this about!
We also love Donyelle and Benji. I am also personally a big fan of Ivan and how much he has grown as a dancer...but if I had to pick a winner, it definately would be between Donyelle, Benji and Natalie.
